NL Johnson, where it all began...

Most people know us today as Fiberglass Solutions.

But that’s not where this story started.

Long before our current name, we were the NL Johnson Company—and even before that, Associated Marine Design.

Back then, the focus was clear:
Designing and building tooling for the fiberglass reinforced plastics industry.
At the center of it all was Norm Johnson. He was an innovator and someone who saw opportunity where others didn’t. His work didn’t just support the FRP industry, it helped shape it. Norm even secured a patent for a fiberglass brine system which helped to push forward what fiberglass could do in demanding environments, specifically cheese production.

And here’s the part that never gets old…

We still walk into cheese facilities today and see the NL Johnson name proudly displayed on the side of brine systems - systems that look just as good as the day they were installed.

Think about that for a second.

Decades later… still performing. Still holding up. Still representing the standard.

In 2001, the name changed to Fiberglass Solutions, but our mindset didn't.

We’re still driven by the same core principles that started it all:
✔ Solve real problems
✔ Build things that last
✔ Keep pushing what’s possible with fiberglass

Names change.
Logos evolve.
But the foundation stays the same.

And we’re proud to keep building on it.
