Not many people get to say they worked on the Packers’ sideline benches.
We are lucky enough to be one of them.

What is Green Bay best known for? You guessed it - the Packers.

And what is one of the Packers’ most important assets? The players.

So when the Packers called us about making modifications to their sideline benches, we were excited to get to work.

The challenge? Increasing airflow directly through the seats so the players could stay cool on the sidelines, without compromising the strength of the fiberglass benches.

On top of that, these modifications had to hold up under the weight of multiple 300+ lb linemen sitting together on the sidelines.

The solution? We cut three openings in each bench and installed support structure around the perimeter. Then we partnered with Royal Custom Plastics Inc to manufacture a perforated plastic sheet that would lay flush with the existing bench surface. Everything was mounted using recessed stainless steel hardware for a clean, durable finish.

To wrap it all up, we sanded down the original gel coat finish (which had seen plenty of years of use) and applied a fresh new layer of gel coat to bring these benches back to life.

It’s always rewarding to work on projects like this, but it’s even more fun to take family and friends to a game and show them the small part we played in supporting our favorite NFL team.
