A tank repair with a surprise

We always love an interesting find.......

A few years back, a customer gave us a call and told us they had a crack in their fiberglass silo. Can you fix that?

Absolutely we can fix a crack in fiberglass. When we arrived onsite, however, the crack didn't look normal. Typically when we hear about cracks in a silo it's one of two things:

1. The customer pulled a vacuum on the tank (which they usually say didn't happen 🤔 ) or....
2. The customer overfilled the tank (which they also usually say didn't happen 🙃)

In this case, neither of these happened! Our technician shot me a text with the attached photos. He went up to inspect the "crack" and found a rifle slug embedded into the side of the tank!

We don't know if it was an errant ricochet from the gun deer season or of malicious intent (doubtful), but an interesting find nonetheless! And yes, we were able to fix the "crack".
