Too Small to Enter Safely? That's a Problem We Can Fix.
When McCain Foods needed better access to their horizontal FRP storage tank, the existing top-mounted manway wasn't cutting it. The opening was too small for proper cleaning and maintenance—and more importantly, it created safety concerns for sanitation and maintenance employees working in confined spaces.
We installed a 24" FRP manway on the tank end, providing safe, easy access for thorough cleaning and routine maintenance. It's a straightforward modification that improves both operational efficiency and employee safety.
This is the advantage of fiberglass: it's adaptable. When operational needs change or safety requirements evolve, existing equipment can be modified rather than replaced. A simple manway installation transforms a problematic tank into a functional, compliant asset.
Is inadequate access limiting your tank maintenance or creating safety concerns? Let's talk about modifications that solve the problem.
